INTRODUCING AVANTHAM
Imagination to Publication
Publishing for the Next Generation of Storytellers
After years of working with adult writers, I'm now bringing my indie-publishing expertise to the next generation of authors--the kids and teens who are ready to share their stories with the world.

I created AVANTHAM in honor of my three literary-minded children, Ava, Anthony, and Mila. Their passion for writing and storytelling inspired me to create a platform that could empower other young writers and teens to start their own publishing journey.

MEET AVANTHAM'S DEBUT TEEN AUTHOR
Join me in congratulating Sarah Marine, the author of AVANTHAM's debut release, 'Lessons In Dry Drowning.'

Sarah Marine, a high school student from northern New Jersey, is a teen writer, registered EMT, and debut novelist of "The Art of Dry Drowning." With roots in Seattle and London, Sarah brings a unique perspective to her writing. When not writing or saving lives, she's often re-watching "Gilmore Girls." As someone who manages OCD, Sarah uses writing to process her thoughts and advocate for mental health. Her personal experience informs her novel, offering an authentic look at OCD's complexities. With eclectic interests and a dream to live somewhere warm, Sarah's voice is distinct and emerging.
Lessons In Dry Drowning
Liz Roenthal feels like she’s drowning—without water. Once a bright and ambitious high school student, her life has unraveled into isolation in her mother’s basement, where every breath feels heavier than the last. Reflecting on the relationships that shaped her, Liz recalls her absent father, her distant mother, and Lucy—the best friend who once understood her completely but now feels out of reach. Then there’s Mary, whose authenticity once inspired Liz but now forces her to confront truths she isn’t ready to face. And Brian—the one person who refuses to let her go, even when she begs him to. As Liz struggles to make sense of the wreckage, she begins to uncover a deeper truth about herself. Lessons In Dry Drowning is a poignant exploration of mental health, resilience, and self-discovery.
